Combat identity fraud across the enterprise
Identity theft is a rapidly growing problem causing substantial losses to businesses and individuals. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) reports that 10 million Americans were victims of identity theft in 2002—at a cost of over $53 billion.
CGI's Identicate® fraud prevention service allows enterprises to manage identity fraud and define prevention strategies that are commensurate with the risk of the particular consumer transactions. Offered through a Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model, Identicate combines robust fraud prevention tool sets with information from a variety of external data providers.
Identicate queries a number of external credit, demographic and geographic data sources to answer two key questions: “Is this a legitimate identity?” and, “Is this individual the rightful owner of the identity?”
Specific fraud strategies may be defined by product line, channel, geography, or other attributes within Identicate's Rules Designer tool. This browser-based business rules configuration tool allows authorized business users to create, test, and deploy fraud strategies in a GUI environment without support from IT.
